The Skinny on the New OSHA Recordkeeping Requirement
As it is well known, employers with 10+ employees are required to keep onsite the last 5 years of the OSHA 300, 300A and 301. The new requirement, effective January 2017, now requires employers with more than 20 employees to electronically file their injury and illness records for the previous year by July of the current year. By 2019, all reporting for the previous year will need to be submitted by March of the current year. OSHA is slated to release the new online filing system in February. We will be sure to keep you posted when the site is available for use. If you would like to read full details on the update, please click here.
